CS-2400/2500

The CS-2500 is a high-performance automated coagulation analyser with an advanced user interface and CS-Series software as well as new features delivering superior technology to your laboratory. It enables random measurement on multiple channels according to four principles: coagulation, chromogenic substrate, turbidimetric immunoassay and agglutination.

The CS-2500 employs the multi-wavelength transmitted light detection method, the core technology of the CS-Series, ensuring the high reliability of reported data by switching wavelengths and checking sample integrity (hemolysis, lipemia, icterus).

“Introduction of automated detection of interfering substances in samples has been one of the most important advances in haemostasis automation for many years. We noticed that even with experienced staff the presence of in vitro haemolysis is under detected. We looked at the effect of in vitro haemolysis on different tests and it turns out that PT/INR is much less affected than APTT. This means that it’s safe to accept samples with a higher level of haemolysis for INR than for APTT testing. Haemolysis caused by inappropriate sample collection transport, storage and processing occurs in more than 1% of citrate samples and we also noticed that 1/3 of rejected samples have not been replaced within 7 days, so there are clinical risks arising from rejection that must be balanced against the risks of accepting and testing. Having the possibility to set test specific rejection criteria rather than a sample- specific approach is a further improvement so the CS-2500 with this option is a real benefit to patient care.”

In 2006, Sysmex introduced the automated coagulation blood analyser CS-2000i/2100i, the first in the world to employ the multi-wavelength transmitted light detection system.

In 2011 we launched the CS-5100, the fastest model in the Sysmex CS-Series of coagulation analysers.

Now, in 2014, we add the CS-2400/2500 to our coagulation family. An analyser that maintains the capabilities of the CS-2000i/2100i whilst offering the functionality and usability of the CS-5100 to medium to high throughput laboratories. We have developed new analytical functions and software for the CS-2400/2500, increasing clinical and diagnostic value. With our CS-Series portfolio Sysmex are able to respond to increasingly diverse and sophisticated customer requirements offering highly reliable test results that contribute to exceptional diagnosis and health monitoring.
